You may be wondering why elistik requests access to Bluetooth, Location, and Notifications. Each of these are central to elistik working to its fullest capacity for you. Simply put:

elistik requests access to Bluetooth Sharing on your device in order to transform your device to a broadcast-sending beacon, or to connect to an external hardware beacon. You can manage this option in the ‘Settings’ app on your device.
Good news: broadcasting from your device does not require any significant drain on your device’s battery.
If you send a broadcast from your iOS device, elistik will need to be in the foreground (i.e., currently open) in order to send. But here’s some more good news: if you send a broadcast from an external hardware beacon, the broadcast will send even if you’re using another app on your device, or its battery dies.
If you’re an event planner, small business owner, or simply someone who wants to broadcast messages on a regular basis, you may want to purchase an external hardware beacon to use with elistik. elistik will sync to your beacon to send targeted messages to anyone within range.
